The Origins of PixiesDidIt!™

PixiesDidIt!™ was founded by two sisters devoted to helping the modern woman develop organizational and household management systems that let them enjoy their full and fun lives.

Katie and Kelly have always been different. Kelly makes lists, Katie does things when she feels like it. Kelly likes to get things done as soon as possible, Katie does things when there’s a deadline. Kelly needs order in her home before she can do anything, Katie can (sometimes!) ignore it and go about her business. Together, they know that the key to organization and serenity is to understand how you work and live and then build systems that work for you, not someone else.

They learned this when Kelly helped Katie organize her home. Kelly developed fantastic organizational solutions for Katie, but within a month, the clutter had returned; the systems were in shambles. What might have worked for Kelly did not work for Katie.

The Tipping Point

Then their baby brother met the right girl, and they set about to make her their sister. Problem was, his apartment was a disaster. (Much worse than Katie’s!) Sensing trouble, they decided to help. Patrick is like Katie, so as they were purging clutter, buying organizational systems, and reorganizing furniture, Katie explained why certain solutions had failed her and so they tested alternatives. With Kelly’s problem solving and Katie’s clever ideas, they came up with alternative plans for Patrick that not only helped his girlfriend become his bride, it helped his apartment remain neat and organized until the couple got their own place.

Katie and Kelly had such a great time fixing up Patrick’s place they decided to do it full time. Their parents have called the sisters Pixies for years, and so PixiesDidIt! was born — cost effective life and home organizational systems customized to personality and lifestyle.
