Leighton Meester as CLASSIC STRUCTURE Blair Waldorf, "Gossip Girl"
Marcia Cross as CLASSIC STRUCTURE Bree Hodge, "Desperate Housewives"
Courteney Cox Arquette as CLASSIC STRUCTURE Monica Geller Bing, "Friends"
Katherine Heigl as CLASSIC FREEDOM Jane, "27 Dresses"
Kristin Davis as CLASSIC FREEDOM Charlotte York, "Sex in the City"
Tom Hanks as CLASSIC FREEDOM Capt. John H. Miller, "Saving Private Ryan"
We were going to call this personality type "The Traditionalist," but thought it might annoy you more fashion forward girls out there. And judging by the character Blair Waldorf from "Gossip Girl," not only do we not want to offend you, but we know that you consistently make what's old, new. So "Classic" seemed a better fit because you are THE original. All organizational techniques, homemaking routines, and climbs to the corporate and social top were designed by you. Does Charlotte from "Sex in the City" ring a bell? Or did you identify with Monica from "Friends". Even though Bree can be over the top, you envy her kitchen, right? And what about the heroine of "27 Dresses"? She is the penultimate bridesmaid because she believes in tradition and doing the right thing. Tom Hanks in "Saving Private Ryan," was duty bound to find Private Ryan against all reasonable expectations. He HAD to.
When it comes to home and life issues, you guys probably have the easiest time running a home and doing everything else you have to do in your lives. You were born with the skills needed to run a tight ship no matter what the ship. The only things you tend to have trouble with is the big picture skills needed to design furniture layouts and picture hanging. What's easiest for you is being on time; what's hardest is interior design.
If any of this sounds eerily familiar then you are probably Classic. Whether you love a good party or would prefer a quiet night at home, read on to see if you are the more more logical Classic Structure or more subjective Classic Freedom.
Classic Structure • STJ
Classic Structures (STJ) are logical decision makers, who believe in fairness and tend to put people second when solving problems. How does this play out in the home arena? You tend to be practical and thrifty at the expense of beauty & visual design. You are the world’s jerry riggers. Inventing ingenious solutions to problems that have already been solved. We know one Classic Structure (STJ) who used cardboard boxes to create black out shades in his million-dollar Princeton NJ home rather than buy new, more functional, attractive ones. Read What's Hard & What's Easy.
Classic Freedom • SFJ
Classic Freedoms (SFJ) are also practical and thrifty but they are easily swayed by both beauty & visual design. You are often described as loyal to a fault, dependable, kind and warmhearted. A Classic Structure (STJ) does not suffer fools gladly, but a Classic Freedom (SFJ) will, especially if they feel bad for them. It is the capacity to feel for others that is their achilles heel in the home and life arena. They are so good at organizing and getting things done that they are asked to organize committees, take care of last minute details, and they invariably say yes till they are physically exhausted. Remember to say yes to things you want and believe in, not just to help someone out. Read What's Hard & What's Easy.
