Pick Your Pixie Type
First things first ... you need to know who you are for any of this to be helpful or different than other advice out there. We're working on a fun personality type sorter that will help you discover your type, but in the meantime, it's not that hard to figure it out on your own.
There are four overarching Pixie personality types — Classic (SJ) , Fun (SP), Smart (NT), and Organic (NF) — based on ancient archetypes, Jung, Keirsey® & Myers-Briggs®. Each of the four gets broken down further to Structure and Freedom. Classic (SJ) is the most traditional, a typical “type A” organized person. Funs (SP) are your adventurous types, but rather practical and adaptable at home and life stuff. Smarts (NT) are clever and inventive and can often deem “home” issues beneath them and while they all have trouble with the details, some approach life with structure; others by adapting to the chaos. Organic (NF) types are creative, prizing harmony above all else, so their homes are very important to them. They struggle with details like Smarts (NT), but while some are gifted at planning, others take life as it comes.
Go to "The PixieTypes" in the lower left hand side bar or use the links above, read the descriptions with a mind towards who you really are, especially at home and not who you wish or think you should be. Life can only be easy if you embrace your true self. One trick is to remember your preferences as a child (when you had much less responsibity!) and then decide which personality type sounds like you the most.decide which one appeals to you most (and remember, it's who you are, not who you wish you were). If you're familiar with Myers-Briggs® or Keirsey®, just find your letters.
Not sure if you're picking the right one? Again, think about how your preferences were as a child, before all that annoying adult responsibility, or consider whether your oldest friend would agree with your pick. Best friends have a way of keeping us honest — it's why we simultaneously hate and love them.
