Funs can seem tricky to buy gifts for because it’s hard to pin them down to one style. Sometimes they seem to like trendy funky things, other times they like traditional, classic things. But, the one thing that never changes about Funs is that they love a good time. Well, don’t we all really but Funs more than all types love experiencing things and intuitively know how to wring everything out of an experience. So if you suspect you have a Fun in your life then start thinking about tickets to a play or a performance.

The experiential gift was actually one of Martha’s ideas. In her December 2011 issue, she suggests websites such as Ticketmaster and StubHub because they have tickets to events that will please everyone. But, what if you don’t know WHAT they’ll want to see or WHEN they want to go? You can buy them a gift certificate to Ticketmaster or make it more personal by going to their local theater, orchestra, or the recipient’s favorite sports team’s website and getting a specific gift certificate. This way your Fun can pick what performance/game they want to attend and when. Martha often leaves out these important details — it’s why I’ve long suspected she’s a Smart Structure masquerading as a Classic.

Funs are not perpetual kids but since they do seek out a good time, something nostalgic and fun like a table top foosball table $29.98, might make them happy. Funs are also practical and this isn’t something they’d ever buy themselves because there’s nothing practical about it. I originally found the idea at the Blue Ribbon General Store, but while they are sold out of foosball tables, the rest of the website is kind of made for the Fun in all of us.

Finally, with Funs you can dip into the world of Classics for gift ideas as long as there is a bit of an edge to them like yesterday’s Nico & Lala Salt & Pepper shakers we recommended for Classics yesterday. In fact, the website Nico & Lala has a few things that fit that bill.
