Daily Grommet

What is Daily Grommet? “… an online marketplace where you can discover and buy inventive, new products and learn their true stories.” It’s kind of like Daily Candy except less focused on fashion and trends and more focused on cool and useful. It’s a great place to search for gifts.

Initially when I heard Daily Grommet from Kate, all I could think of was that clay animation movie “Wallace & Gromit” so I thought it was some sort of goofy daily cartoon email she was trying to get me into and I continued to ignore her pleadings to visit the website. But, content is king when running a website, so I eventually was forced to visit.

Mea maxima culpa. It’s a really cool website. It’s predominantly run by women so naturally as a Barnard gal and independent business woman that’s a plus for me. But they also have a unique viewpoint about commerce that all Organics and many other personalities might dig as well.

We believe every purchase is an act of citizenship. It amplifies something in the world, good, bad or indifferent. At Daily Grommet we're creating a place for people who want their purchases to have meaning — to support what matters most to them: whether it's technical innovation, green or social enterprises, the creation of jobs, domestic manufacturing, or the preservation of craft.

So sign-up for the Daily Grommet or just visit the website when you’re looking for something cool.
