I was going to write about the Zappos’ Men’s fashion types but then I had to deal with the personality types they call All-American and Mom-on-the-Go. At first I thought that All-American could probably fit in with our Classic types, but after taking a closer look I wasn’t so sure. There are some things in there that I know my sister wouldn’t wear, and there are some outfits that I would horrify our stylist. Frankly, there are a LOT of outfits that would horrify her, but if she was being paid to come up with a bunch of clothes by type, she’d hire us and then Zappos’ “personality types” would make a lot more sense.

All-American is pretty generic. We’re talking jeans and t-shirts and yes that’s a staple and it appeals to Classics, but frankly it can look good on anyone and this “personality type” also includes some gym clothes and an all-pink tennis outfit that couldn’t be worn on many tennis courts — apparently Zappos has never heard of the 10% color rule enforced by so many Tennis Clubs. But there are some cute outfits like the one on the left, so go ahead and check it out no matter what your type for a few stylish, casual outfits.

Now onto the mom thing. It’s annoying to be a mom and have a “personality type” named after you, knowing that moms come in all shapes and sizes and all different personality types. Funs and Organics will tend towards more funky fare while Smarts and Classics will tend towards more, well, more classic styles. So, basically what we have here are a bunch of nice outfits that aren’ts gym clothes and that look comfortable AND stylish. So while I don’t think Mom on the Go is a fashion personality type, if you are a mom and you’re NOT wearing clothes as stylish as this one featured here then it’s time to go shopping and discover how awesome Zappos is, how easy it is to return things, and how you really can take of 10 to 20 pounds with the right outfit.
